how-to-restore-a-blackberry-curve-8520-to-factory-settings

If you haven’t already done so, make sure your data has been backed up by using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager before going ahead and moving onto the first step.
Step 1. Select the options menu from the home screen, this will then give you a new screen with more options. Here you will need to locate and select the Security Options button.
Step 2. Once step 2 has been done, you will see a General Settings option, you now need to hit the menu key and then you can chose to Wipe Handheld. Make sure that all the boxes have been checked, if you are happy to move on then just hit continue.
Step 3. You will now be prompted with a new screen, just type in the word “blackberry” without the quotes. This will complete the process and reset the Blackberry Curve 8520 to a factory reset state, cleaning all your data from it.
Depending on the amount of data that your phone holds, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. However once it has run the course, your Blackberry Curve 8520 will be ready for recycling through our site.
